Solange is a third-year undergraduate majoring in biochemistry and minoring in medical humanities at Washington University in St. Louis. She joined the Queller-Strassman lab in the spring of 2023. Her research focuses on the virulence of Paraburkholderia species when they infect of Dictyostelium discoideum. After graduation, she plans to pursue graduate studies in genetics and possibly infectious diseases. In her free time, she enjoys collecting vinyl records and exploring music from different cultures and languages, as well as watching films and TV shows.
