Trey’s paper on cooperation and pleiotropy is now out in PNAS!
Trey’s paper showing that pleiotropy is higher in cooperation genes than in non-cooperation genes in P. aeruginosa has been published in PNAS.

New paper based on Ferguson farmers’ market activity!
In this activity, undergrads had people form hypothesis about different parts of the human microbiome. They then used photos of plates from those microbiomes to get people to test their hypotheses. Below are some sample images and the paper.

Margaret Steele got an NSF fellowship!
Postdoc Margaret Steele was awarded the prestigious NSF Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Biology (PRFB). Her work will look at interactions between Dictyostelium amoebae and pathogenic bacteria.
