Check out the latest paper from the lab. Lead by postodoctoral researcher Margaret Steele, various wild isolates of Pseudomonas were found to escape predation by Dictyostelium discoideum, with no one universal resistance mechanism across strains. What’s more is that these inedible strains appear able to infect D. discoideum fruiting bodies in a manner reminiscent of the symbiotic species of Paraburkholderia! Congrats to Margaret and co.
